Snapchat’s new update; Snapchat faces backlash!
Snapchat has recently come up with a new update that is being called ‘a nightmare’ by the large lot. It has really triggered the ashes of aggression among the many users of this popular social app. Snapchat has introduced an update with lots of changes in design and features, but the users are not too much thrilled.
Snapchat has got much hype since it has launched back in 2011 but now it has really pissed off. The redesign supports user’s stories under his profile tab, rather than displaying at the top of friends’ stories. Also the new interface has become difficult to use. The friends section contains snaps and direct chats all one page rather than displaying them separately. The new Snap Map allows users to share their location and view the location of their friends. Many people have called it a threat to their privacy.
Snapchat is included among the top rated social apps but this redesign has done no justice to its fame. Many people have already uninstalled the app and many are demanding to retain the previous features.
Back in November 2017, when Snapchat announced that it was working on some major design specs on Snapchat, it was supposed to come out with some more intriguing features. But nothing happened that way. Instead, many users have acknowledged that Snapchat’s recent update has made it difficult for them to use.
Snapchat used to show content from friends, publishers and celebs on one page. Now, you have to go to your friend’s profile to see his story and not just that, but the stories in user’s feed appear in a non-chronological order. It means that they are now ranked based on your most recent interactions. Also if you want to rewatch a story, you have to go to user’s profile. To manage your own story, tap on the Snapchat logo to access the camera and to see the views on your story.
There comes many sections with this update and it has triggered people on real. Users have said that they find it difficult to find various sections which were easier to find previously.
Those who don’t want to get lost with the new design, they need to ‘switch off’ the automatic updates. By this, you can save yourself by plunging in the Snapchat’s redesign complexities. The reaction by million users may result in retaining back the old design and features. Till then, ignore those fussy updates and go happy with the old and blessed version.
